As a clinical psychologist and expert in eating and weight issues, I am concerned about people being misled about what are the most effective ways of losing and managing ones weight for a lifetime. For more than 30 years I've observed how people are set up for failure by unrealistic diets and exercise programs as well as out-and-out scams designed to take advantage of individuals that seriously want to improve their health and lives. I've treated many people during these years, have written articles on the subjects of eating disorders, in particular, and weight loss in general. I've recently completed a book on the subject.
